Neoma has captivated fans from all over the world with her “sweet but powerful voice”. The bilingual electro-pop star began her music career in 2017 in her hometown Cuenca, Ecuador and hit the top of the charts with her single “Real.”
Upon moving to Denver in 2019, she released her debut album Real. Her hit single “Young” has amassed millions of streams and established her as one of the city’s top indie talents. She’s been touring her sophomore album Hyperreal since its release in April 2022.
Neoma carries with her the culture and flag of Ecuador, winning over people of all backgrounds and uniting her crowds in any room she plays. Representing the Latinx community, she was the Spotify RADAR Andinos artist of 2022.
In 2023, Neoma has shared a total of five releases, including two singles that serve as a preview of her upcoming era. Additionally, she has participated in three collaborations, two of them with Ecuadorian artists La Maquina Camaleón and Menino Gutto, and one with an American artist, Mersiv.
Neoma has captivated music lovers all over the world with her dreamy yet energetic synth pop hits. In 2017, Neoma hit the top of the Ecuadorian charts with her infectious single Real. Since then, she’s played concerts to thousands of fans throughout the Americas.
In 2018, Neoma relocated from Cuenca, Ecuador to Denver, Colorado, along with producer/bassist Danny Pauta to focus on her music career. In June 2019, Neoma released Young, her first single as a resident of Denver.
Her debut album, Real was released in November 2019.
After the album release, Neoma teamed up with local Denver musicians to form a live band. Levi Double U took over drumming duties while Dani Paez of Fuya Fuya joined on keys and guitar. Neoma embarked on her first tour of the United States in February 2020. The Real Tour brought her through the West Coast, including stops in Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. However, an appearance at SXSW and the Ecuadorian leg of the tour were cancelled due to the COVID situation.
In quarantine, Neoma started collaborating with artists from the Ecuadorian indie scene and musicians she met while out on The Real Tour. Neoma released a string of collaborative singles in 2020, including Superstar with La Madre Tirana & Cuando Quieres Jugar Conmigo with Lolabum.
In 2021, Neoma released two new singles, FIXXIÓN & Might Forgive You / TKM, the first to be written and recorded with her new live band. Neoma toured the east coast in support of these singles including stops in Chicago, NYC, and Atlanta.
Neoma and her band worked for a year and a half on her second album, Hyperreal. Neoma has honed her unique blend of bilingual vocals, sharp pop songwriting, and more experimental electronic flourishes on this new album, which was influenced by the likes of Kate Bush, SOPHIE, ARCA, Donna Summer and SARAMALACARA.
The album’s two singles “Tears At Bae” and “Say You Love Me” show off the range of the stylistic influences and emotional palette of Hyperreal, as the shimmering disco-pop “bad bitch” anthem “Tears At Bae”, which has similarities with the recent work of pop artists like Dua Lipa, is contrasted with the moodiness and intimacy of “Say You Love Me”, reflecting a darker and more introspective pop style of someone like Billie Eilish. Both songs are accompanied by music videos, with the “Tears At Bae” video taking Neoma to the appropriate setting of a roller rink as she performs the disco inspired song with a number of skating backup dancers, and the“Say You Love Me” video providing an appropriately dramatic visual for the track, featuring Neoma playing the piano and eventually falling into a pool, mirroring the song’s refrain “At the end of the day, I’m still falling for you”.
Hyperreal was released on April 29th, 2022.
Neoma's "Hyperreal Tour" in 2022 successfully took place throughout the United States, Colombia, and Ecuador. This lead to Neoma sharing the stage with international acts such as Marc Rebillet, Carla Morrison, and The Marías.
In 2023, Neoma has shared a total of five releases, including two singles "Nublado" and "Lento" that serve as a preview of her upcoming era. Additionally, she has participated in three collaborations, two of them with Ecuadorian artists La Maquina Camaleón and Menino Gutto, and one with an American EDM artist, Mersiv.
